Initially , Chibiusa started off shy and withdrawn — a byproduct of the bullying she endured at the hands of her peers — leaving her a child riddled with insecurities about her identity , her status as a princess , and her lack of ability to transform into a Sailor Senshi . However , as she aged and matured , she eventually grew past all this , becoming a confident , well - mannered — stubborn — elegant lady like she always dreamed of being . It is this dream of becoming an elegant lady that has become the driving force behind most of Chibiusa’s actions .

As quite the powerful sailor Senshi in her own right , Chibiusa’s actions are often guided by her heart . She will be the first to befriend someone even when others around her show distrust towards them , proving that she has a big heart and empathises with those who don’t make friends easily . She is often brave and unafraid to throw herself in the line of fire if it means keeping her loved ones safe .Though she is still relatively young by appearances , her true age lends her wisdom beyond her years .

As would be expected , it took a long time for the planet to fully accept a single sovereign . The new Silver Millennium that Neo Queen Serenity’s reign was known to be was characterized by war and a strong but diplomatic leadership . Dissenters of Neo Queen Serenity’s reign were either defeated , killed , or eventually relocated to Nemesis , and as the Earth settled once more into peace and prosperity , Neo Queen Serenity worked tirelessly to create a balance and a kingdom that her daughter could inherit .
On the anniversary of the 1,00th year of Crystal Tokyo’s reign , Neo Queen Serenity steps down to allow her daughter , Princess Lady Serenity to ascend the throne as the new queen . It is a joyous occasion , the last few centuries of peace and prosperity giving Lady Serenity the perfect platform to begin her reign as queen ; a clean slate, a fresh start .When she ascends , she assumes the title of Queen Lady Serenity ( often shortened to Queen Serenity III ) and continues the work where her mother left off , maintaining the balance of harmony not just on Earth but throughout the entire Sol system . This era begins what will be known as the Aurora Millennium .

In ancient times, Solheim was considered a pure, holy land which guarded one of the FOUR CRYSTALS; these Crystals were considered what remained of the god, Bhunivelze, sealing him away in the sea of Chaos. Serenity, Solheim’s heiress and chosen individual to protect the power of the Solheim Crystal, was renowned throughout the land for her beauty, grace and kind heart. Her aura remained a warm and pure one for her people.
However, a day came when the Solheim Crystal came to be in danger. Darkness encroached upon the land, threatening to swallow the planet in its entirety. In an effort to save the world from darkness, Serenity channelled the power of the Crystal through a sceptre which had been passed down through her line for generations — a sort of conduit for which the immense power of the Crystal could be used by human hands.The use of this power, however, came at a great cost to Serenity herself. By using such a large amount of its power, the Crystal responded by encasing the princess in a crystal stasis. Serenity was rendered into a soundless slumber, unaware of the ultimate fate of Solheim or the world as the centuries passed.It was only when she was awoken by representatives of Niflheim that Serenity’s role began anew. Niflheim was quick to realise, however, that the princess held no memories of her life or her previous deeds as Solheim’s saviour. Seeing an opportunity, the Empire managed to convince Serenity to join their cause by capitalising on her role as the Solheim Crystal’s protector and her worship of the god, Lindzei — a god which linked Solheim and Niflheim through their shared advanced technologies and culture.Though the Solheim Crystal had broken long ago, some of its power remained, heavily muted, from the crystal shards of Serenity’s imprisonment. This allowed her to once again take up the mantle of attempting to banish the darkness from the world. With knowledge of the only remaining Crystal, the Lucis Crystal, in the possession of the Lucis Caelums, Serenity became an ally of the Niflheim Empire, falsely led to believe that it was Lucis and its Crystal’s protector that was threatening to plunge the world into darkness once more.

When Lady Serenity ascended to the throne of Crystal Tokyo as queen, it marked the beginning of what would later be called the Aurora Millennium – a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity thanks to the foundation built by her mother. At least, that was her hope. However, it became clear that things would be markedly different shortly into her reign.
Plagued one night by dreams she could not understand, it was there she met Yozora for the first time; a man who claimed to be from another world known as Replica Earth, and though Serenity was—at first—hesitant to believe his words, she could not shake the feeling that their meeting was fated. Their dream meetings continued for some time, until one day, an alarming new development occurred.The Earth Serenity called home and Yozora’s Replica Earth were beginning to merge.It happened in small waves at first—bright crystals appearing on the surface of Replica Earth, giving off immense power; a second, smaller moon appearing in the sky. But soon, whole districts of Crystal Tokyo and Replica Earth began to merge or disappear entirely, as if someone had taken a photo with double exposure, superimposing one district over the other. With this came an entirely new set of problems and questions with no answers. As Serenity and Yozora worked together to figure out why their worlds were merging, the light and power from the crystals of Serenity’s world garnered the attention of the Gigas Corporation.The Gigas Corporation were a team of scientists tasked with harnessing the power of astral light, merging it through experimentation with a human vessel to create “higher beings”. Yozora, Serenity would come to realise, was one of these vessels; and he and his queen ( the Verum Regina ) were said to be the second Adam and Eve. Serenity would have no time to ask him questions, however, as Gigas Corp. sought to have Crystal Tokyo’s queen for their own—drawn to the immense power of her Pink Moon Crystal, which granted immortality to residents of her kingdom. It was a covetous notion, being able to achieve immortality through the power of a single crystal—more powerful than the Gigas Core they had imbued in Yozora.With the Gigas Corp. now on their trail, Yozora and Serenity have no choice but to run and hope that in the process they can find the answers they both seek and, perhaps, stop their worlds from merging completely.

The Chiba Clan occupied the area of Shimōsa province in the early twelfth century and was a branch family of the Taira Clan descended from Taira no Tadatsune. During the Genpei War ( 1180-1185 ), the Chiba clan, as well as the Hōjō, Miura, and Doi clans, opposed the greater 'core' Taira clan and supported Minamoto no Yoritomo. Chiba Tsunetane, clan chief of the period, won Yoritomo’s trust and helped establish the Kamakura shogunate. The power of the clan increased in this period.
Although the Chiba clan was completely conquered by daimyo and politician, Toyotomi Hideyoshi before the establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate, descendants of the Chiba Clan, and those who had honorarily taken the Chiba name, remained in the Shimōsa region and lent their support to the shogunate in the coming years. It was during this time that the area—and the clan—prospered greatly.Oni of the Tsukino Clan had lived in the area harmoniously alongside the Chiba clan for some centuries, their kind allowed to live in the region if only because they kept to themselves and didn’t interfere with human lives or politics; but it wasn’t until the Chiba clan was conquered that the relationship between oni and humans began to change. Many members of the Chiba clan felt that their defeat could have been avoided if the Tsukino Clan had only offered aid, and thus tensions began to rise between the two clans.As it would happen, a member of the Chiba clan would eventually meet and fall in love with one of the Tsukino clan’s own. His name was Chiba Mamoru—a farmer’s son with dreams of rising above his station to become a respected doctor. One day he meets Tsukino Usagi, a female oni, and despite the tensions that now existed between the clans, the two eventually fell in love.This was met with great upheaval from both clans. For the Chiba clan, resentment had festered into a deep-rooted hatred for the oni who had watched idly as their clan was conquered; as for the Tsukino clan, comprised strictly of pureblooded oni, they feared that allowing a union to happen between Usagi and Mamoru would taint the oni bloodline. Conflict came to a head when, just a few months into their secret meetings, Usagi fell pregnant. Fighting amongst the clans broke out, threatening to spill over into all-out war.Despite this, on June 30th, 1846, Usagi and Mamoru welcomed a baby girl into the world. Born of both human and oni blood, it was apparent from the beginning that she would be different—with hair the colour of cherry blossoms, and eyes as red as blood. They named her Usagi—as many of the women in Usagi’s direct family also carried the name—but gave her the affectionate nickname of Chibiusa. Beloved by her parents, it was Usagi and Mamoru’s hope that Chibiusa would be the bridge that would heal old wounds between the two clans.

Two thousand years ago, Solheim was a land which ruled over the nations of Eos during an era of peace and prosperity. When Solheim turned its back on its patron deity, Ifrit, and the god of Fire turned his rage upon the planet, the remaining five Astrals bestowed their blessings upon a woman pure of heart and strong of will that would carry on their duty.
the Astrals - weakened and exhausted from the war against Ifrit - one by one, succumbed to slumber. That woman was named Lady Serenity.Initially, Serenity was unsure of her purpose. As only one person, she had no idea how she could possibly make a difference. The blessings bestowed upon her by the remaining five Astrals had made her functionally immortal and it would be years before it came to light that she was one of twenty-three others, called Messengers, given this same blessing. For a long time, Serenity struggled with what she was meant to accomplish.However, it became clear through the line of Oracles and Kings of Lucis chosen by the Astrals, that Serenity was meant to help them. After a night of fervent prayer, asking the Astrals - and perhaps the planet itself - what she could do for Eos, her pleas were heard by the Astral, Bahamut. As he and the Crystal are intrinsically linked, he granted Serenity a fraction of the Crystal’s power in the form of a scepter. This scepter allowed her to control a limited amount of the Crystal’s power and use its magic to dispel the daemons which had begun ravaging the planet.As the centuries passed, waiting for the arrival of the True King, Serenity used her extended lifespan to continue where the Six left off; watching over the people of Eos and helping them where she could; whether that meant fighting daemons, acting as a liaison between the Oracles and Kings, or providing solace for those who’d lost hope of a brighter future.For all intents and purposes, Serenity’s true identity and the nature of her existence is a closely guarded secret kept by the Oracles and Kings of Lucis. In some ways, she is a failsafe solution. Though not an Oracle and certainly not as strong as the Fleuret line, she is able to fight off daemons with the power of the Crystal, and is able to step in should there ever come a time where the Oracle cannot.
